Review - OPTP'S "Sea Food Menu"

Assalam –U – Alaikum n Hiya My Food Fanatics. Hope you are in the best of health and Beauty *-*
It’s yet another day of happiness & excitement as you can clearly view from the above picture as I do have a Review for my Beauties regarding some mouthwatering seafood treats from none other than OPTP – One Potato Two Potato. This is one of Pakistan’s renowned fast food chains. I am one of their oldest and loyal customers due to the irresistible French Fries’ they offer like none other. My personal are the BBQ Fries which I will talk in depth about in a bit. Despite fries’ being their specialty they do offer a variety of burger, sandwiches and sides which are amazing too.
However, the main purpose of the blog today was to help you explore into the tasty seafood options they have on their menu which are different from preceding years. But let’s talk a lil’ about OPTP First.
About:
They have a beautiful motivational concept and moto about how the two brothers who had passion for food and craze for potato fries struggled resulting in where there are today:
“All great ideas have their beginning in a dream; there middle in the hard work and their continuing success leaves everyone wanting more”
Wow. So true Indeed.
They have Branches around the country like:
-Lahore
-Islamabad/Rawalpindi
-Karachi
-Gujranwala
-Hyderabad
-Jhelum etc.
Branch I visited:
75-T Commercial Phase - 2, DHA, Lahore.
You can find the location almost easily. Situated in a really nice commercial area.
Parking/Cleanliness/Staff/Ambiance:
The branch I visited is a commercial area with allot of hustle and bustle around. Finding a good parking spot for my car was slightly difficult as it full most of the time.
The staff seemed very obedient and friendly. So no complaints in regards to that.
It was pretty clean and it has an open kitchen so you can easily watch through what’s happening over the counter and from the side walk stair case that leads you to another sitting area.
This branch is really near to my place so I always prefer a takeaway rather than sitting there and having my meal but this time I did. It’s a pretty small yet a cozy place. Ambiance is really good. There is a single bar-style seating on the main entrance floor and a sufficient seating arrangement on the first floor.
I went there at lunch time which was a rush hour and people from universities and offices were there to have lunch.
What I ordered/Price:
I actually ordered way more than I can imagine eating at once and at last had to take my food away to eat for dinner as well lol. But I really wanted to sample more to give my best possible opinion. I ordered:
Prawns & Fish with Chips – PKR 650
Double Stack Fish Burger – PKR 450
Jumbo BBQ Fries – PKR 200
Regular Coke - (should be within ) PKR 100-120 (Sorry I lost my receipt)
Review:
Dearies as soon as I entered I was welcomed warmly. I already had the knowledge what to order due to the prior and neat advertisements of OPTP on their social media. I’m a seafood and specifically a Prawn lover since childhood that many of you might know due to my previous post of Shrimp Ceviche Recipe.
As soon as you enter you can smell the aroma of frying fish in your nostrils which is really pleasant. They freshly prepare the food as soon as you make an order.
The Quality of the fish especially the Prawns were excellent. Previously I did not enjoy their seafood as the crispy bread crumb batter was not to the point where I would like it neither were the fish seasoned that flavorful. But surprisingly this time I see a big revolutionary change not only the quality of the seafood is exceptional but the batter wasn’t too think and I could taste the seasonings as well. The flavor of the fish itself was coming out nicely as well. The fries that came along with it were slightly on the dry side and I must add the quality was a lil low than their regular Plain Fries’ on the menu. However, a good quality Tartar sauce was served which is always a plus !!
The Double Stack Fish Burger was Excellent and my favourite amongst the entire meal menu… Who would say No to a double Fish Patty lol.? Not me. No way !! The fish used was so tender and the quality of the Bun was soo good that I hardly chewed and the fish just disintegrated in my mounth =D
The BBQ Jumbo Fries are my fav thing on OPTS’s menu in general. Cant rave less about it. The fries are cut to the perfect thickness, crispness and that BBQ Sauce is soo high quality. Fairly salted and spicy as my liking.
Here comes the moment of “TRUTH” the part that I was waiting for hehe. TBH I will rate it a 5 star meal for the quality, quantity, service and Price tag.
