Review - Mac's Studio Fix Fluid

Hey my Beautiful Makeup Fanatics... Hope you are in the best of health and Beauty *-*
I have a review for my lovelies today. I have read several articles and seen several video’s titled as “Products I can’t live without”, “If my makeup disappears what will I buy” & ”My favourite Foundations” etc. And if not this specific brand/type of foundation is amongst the most popular but lot of makeup aficionados name that num# 1 makeup essential is a Foundation. Even beautiful flawless faces go over several tubes or bottles of foundations and consider them the *imp* most part of their makeup routine! So do I! Foundation basically really helps you to create a great base for your makeup, it certainly evens the skin tone and complexion, cover flaws to an extent especially for people like me who have uneven skin tone and also hydrates or controls oils on skin depending what formulation you are using.
Please note: Before I continue the review I would like to mention about my skin type. It indeed is very oily along with sensitivity issues. I occasionally breakout as well due to stress or maybe some uncontrollable hormonal changes. Coming back to Mac’s Studio Fixed Fluid. So far it’s one of my Favourite most foundation.!
Claim/Description & Usage Method:
Lets know a little more about what Mac claims about it. However, they have recommended to use a makeup brush or sponge to apply and additionally suggested to use fingers to blend. I totally understanding fingers are terrific to blend but on oneself & it’s important to have thoroughly clean hands. Nevertheless, I won’t recommend this for a client.

Packaging & Texture:
While purchasing a foundation allot of people consider if it’s a pump bottle or not. Indeed it is a plus point which certainly for me is as well but this is just a glass bottle, which is ok. It has a velvety black cap. It contains 30 ml or 1.0 US FL OZ.
The shade I'm using is NW 20. However, i prefer using the warmer NC range. I really wanted to try this foundation ASAP so i was ok with getting this as well lol. But nevertheless, it turned out to be a good match.
The formula of the foundation feels very smooth and absorbs nicely into the skin. Its neither too thick nor thin at all. I feel as if my pores are minimized with this product. As the claim further states it has a medium to buildable coverage.
Swatch and Blending on my hand
I just prefer applying a single layer with a beauty sponge from Real Techniques which is my Favourite & that gives me an even yet medium coverage. But I don’t prefer layering it as I think it looks slightly cakey after few hours. That’s just my opinion. I haven’t seen any break outs or irritation on my skin. And the SPF is always a Plus with No flashbacks *-*
With & without Foundation - but no brow filling and concealer =D
Price:
The price is $28 USD and from an Authentic store or retailer in Pakistan you should buy this somewhere between PKR 3500 – 4500. For people on a budget this is something where repurchasing won’t be that easy. But I must say I would still like to pay slightly higher for the quality of the product and the amount. For me this bottle will last for quite a long time.
Staying Power:
As the claim states that it lasts up to 8 hrs. I would not be a customer who would agree to that. The reason for that might be my skin itself as I mentioned beforehand it’s very oily. But for the price staying power should have been a slightly stronger. For me this last for 5 - 6 hrs to the max and I need to touch-up in middle as well! Below is the click of the wear of foundation after couple of hours without touch up though. I got slightly oily on my nose - not the entire t-zone *-*

Overall Perception:
Due to highly sensitive skin I don’t like experimenting allot with foundations, I do fear breakouts and loss in my investment as well. But still I have tried allot of different foundations from drugstore and high end brands. Overall Mac has never disappointed me with their foundation. This is one of the best one’s in the market and surprisingly it photographs beautifully. It offers you a huge variety of 42 shades to chose from for all skin tones. Mine looks pretty natural on me.

Yes - !
Recommend it to a Friend:
To friends that have normal to oily skin or are looking for medium - full and matte coverage.
